One St. Louis area civic youth organization is trying to reduce mental health stigma among Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders by offering a statewide Asian therapist database.

The 444 individuals on the Department of Mental Health’s waitlist have been charged with crimes but not convicted.

Students today face a fear that was unheard of in previous generations.

Nationally, only 4% of mental health professionals are Black, which means prospective Black clients have fewer options to find someone they can relate to.
