Pride St. Louis is celebrating its 45th year of recognizing the LGBTQ community. This year, the organization lost major funding due to federal pressures on corporations to drop their DEI initiatives. Attendees say this year鈥檚 festival is more special because the community stepped in to support it.

This year marks the Southeastern Rodeo Association鈥檚 12th year hosting Black rodeos 鈥� and the fifth such event in St. Louis.

This year鈥檚 holiday marks the 160th anniversary of the announcement in Texas that enslaved people were free. Attendees at the Griot Museum and the Juneteenth parade and festival in Dellwood said the holiday is an opportunity to remember African American history, spend time with family and celebrate joy.

The protest is one of more than 1,500 across the country, coinciding with President Donald Trump's military parade and 79th birthday and just after two state Democratic leaders were shot in Minnesota.

The protest joins the nationwide chorus of residents pushing back on the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts and the subsequent federalization of the National Guard in Los Angeles.

The annual conference brings together experts from the transportation industry to collaborate on growing the shipping industry.

"It literally had looked like a bomb had just went off," one volunteer said of the tornado's damage in north St. Louis. "Blocks and blocks of homes that are just gone."

The session had been scheduled to end on Friday. It鈥檚 the first time in more than 70 years that the House has adjourned early.

Backers of paid sick leave and minimum wage increases say they may pursue a constitutional amendment, which lawmakers couldn鈥檛 repeal.
