A tornado benefit concert at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Sunday will feature the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony Chorus and the IN UNISON Chorus. The May 16 tornado damaged the churches and homes of many IN UNISON singers.

The two-year, $140 million expansion and renovation forced the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra to perform at different venues the past two seasons.

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is collaborating with adapter Bill Barclay on a reimagined take on Henrik Ibsen鈥檚 1867 play 鈥淧eer Gynt鈥� and composer Edvard Grieg鈥檚 iconic score, which includes some of the most well-known music in the world.

Erin Freeman, a choral director and conductor based in Washington, D.C., will become the third-ever leader of St. Louis Symphony Chorus. Predecessor Amy Kaiser retired in 2022 after 27 years at the helm.
