Puzzling Adventures are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided walking tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible to win first place or take your time and enjoy the journey. Price is per team, not per person. Groups can be any size, but small groups are recommended for the best experience.

The Silk Road Dinner Series will be hosted monthly beginning on Wednesday, June 18, through August. Helmed by Executive Chef Tim Adams, the series brings together some of St. Louis鈥� most celebrated culinary talents: Chef Julie Troung of DD Mau, 2025 James Beard semifinalist Nick Bognar of Indo and Sado, and 2025 James Beard Finalist Loryn Nalic of Balkan Treat Box. Madrina will donate 20 percent of proceeds from the series to the International Institute of St. Louis, which champions immigrant and refugee communities to thrive to create a welcoming, prosperous, and healthy region.

Caravan Tour
Join us for a guided caravan tour! Drive along in your car and follow the caravan led by our Master Guide Cathleen. We will drive to a few different locations inside historic Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. At each location, we will all exit our vehicles and Cathleen will give us a tour through history!

The adventure begins with a drive to our serene Wildwood Valley Gardens. We will walk the Gardens and visit the impressive Cascade Mausoleum, our newest mausoleum. The next stop is Prospect Avenue. The 鈥渕overs and shakers鈥� of the 1900s are buried there. The last stop is the area surrounding explorer William Clark鈥檚 plot. This caravan tour is a unique way to explore the grounds and learn about some of the people memorialized at Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum.

鈾� Space is limited and reservations are required

鈾� Please wear appropriate outdoor walking attire as we will explore different areas upon leaving our vehicles.

鈾� Walking terrain is mild with a mixture of hard and soft surfaces

鈾� We ask that everyone arrive 15 to 20 minutes before tour time for a prompt departure

鈾� This is a rain or shine event except in the case of extreme lightning

Saints and Sinners and Bellefontaine Cemetery
The era in which we live may impact our idea of who is a Saint or a Sinner. Virginia Minor worked most of her life to make the world better for others. During the Civil War, she worked with the St. Louis Union Aid Society, a precursor to the American Red Cross. Later, she attempted to use the 14th Amendment to vote in the Presidential of 1872 and worked to secure women the right to vote. Despite Virginia鈥檚 lifetime of service, no clergy would officiate her 1894 funeral because her Suffragist belies and activities were considered disruptive of the 鈥渘atural order鈥� of the times.

Learn how others in their time may have been classified compared to how we view their lives today during a free Zoom presentation featuring some of the Saints and Sinners eternally resting within the 314 acres of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum.
